Love is a river
Rushing over boulders

Smoothing their rough surface
Solidifying their resolve

Flowing, moving, changing
Cool
Refreshing
Chilly
Abrupt

Its beauty overwhelms
Its consistency comforts

Its noise deafens
Its current weakens

With all its risks and challenges
I choose the river and its flow

It glistens as a diamond in the sun
It soothes as a mother’s voice at dusk

Flowing, moving, changing
Constant
