Wouldn't ya know it, life is different here in Germany! Yes, yes, culturally, linguistically, etc, but the things that will 
really start to tire your familiarity-seeking brain aren't necessarily the obvious ones. It's the lack of door knobs (and instead door handles), the different lightswitches, and no handle to flush the toilet with that'll send your brain through a loop as the months go by. 
(Or else you might just become easily accustomed to them and just use the above reason as material for another blog entry... :) )Don't say I didn't warn you!

i totally agree with you. my ever seeking mind wonders why there is not a standard way to flush in germany.... alas we also have a suspended toilet that was a topic for discussion for quite some time. :) i am right there with you.
I love how I check your blog like 10 times a day to see if there's any update in the baby department...lol. On an entirely different topic-I thought of you the other nite at Downtown (an 8:30 sunday evening service that a large majority of us college kids go to). We sang He is Wonderful/All Praises Be (then we sang it in chapel today too!) and I remembered that year at camp when we all sang it for talent nite. To this day I still sing the tenor part...old habits die hard ;)
